The Larricks
Hi, I'm Marvin Larrick and with me are my dad, Leroy and my son, Owen. On our hog farm, we raise show pigs for youth to take to fairs and other shows across the country. Even Owen has started showing pigs.
We know that our hogs give kids an opportunity to take on responsibility and learn to raise animals. Many of them are in 4-H, so they have to keep records, make a budget, and they even go through Pork Quality Assurance training to learn about proper handling and care.
But here on the farm, we realize that even though these hogs don't take the typical path, they will eventually end up on someone else's farm or someone's plate. In order to feel comfortable that we are providing a safe, healthy, wholesome product we take our job very seriously.
