Here is one of the barns on our farm. This is where we keep the sows (mothers) while they are pregnant. Notice those big fans on the end? On the other end of the barn is a "cool cell" or air conditioning system that has cool water running through it all of the time. These fans then pull air from the cool cell past all the pigs and out the other end of the building. This ventilation system circulates air and keeps the pigs cool and comfortable during the warm summer months. The barn is also equipped with heaters for the winter months. Now, let's take a look inside.
