The Farmers
I’m Marvin Larrick and with me are my dad, Leroy, and my son, Owen. The hogs on our farm are being used to teach children some valuable lessons. We raise show pigs for youth to take to county fairs and other shows across the country. These children, many of whom are in 4-H, are learning responsibility and life lessons at an early age. By taking a hog project they learn how to keep records, make a budget and even go through Pork Quality Assurance training to learn about proper handling and care.
We realize that even though these hogs don’t take the typical path, eventually these animals will end up on someone else’s farm or plate We take our job seriously providing these pigs as learning aides for youth, and are certain that they will provide a safe, healthy and wholesome product.
