The Farmers
Hi, I'm Greg and I live in New Carlisle with my wife Brenda and my two sons, Grant and Dean. We raise pigs, corn, soybeans, wheat and hay. We grow about 2,600 acres of corn and soybeans. After we harvest the crops with a combine, we store the grain in big silver grain bins. The corn is stored until it is time to grind it up and feed to the pigs. Every four to five weeks we pick up a group of 550 pigs that has just been weaned from another farmer. We bring the pigs back to our farm and put them in a nursery barn. After they grow some more, we move them into a finishing barn. Grant and Dean like to come to the barns to help with chores and play with the pigs.
